Life Lagoon Refresh presented at the 2nd International Conference “COWM- CITIZEN OBSERVATORIES FOR NATURAL HAZARDS AND WATER MANAGEMENT
The Life Lagoon Refresh participated at the 2nd International Conference “COWM- CITIZEN OBSERVATORIES FOR NATURAL HAZARDS AND WATER MANAGEMENT - 2018”, organized by Distretto Alpi Orientali, in Venice, 27-30 November 2018.
On 27 November 2018 the oral presention “LIFE LAGOON REFRESH. Ecological restoration in Venice Lagoon (Italy): concrete actions supported by numerical modeling and stakeholder involvement” was performed during the Session “Communities involvement in Environmental Management”, in the stunning baroque setting of Palazzo Labia.
Partecipation at the SER Europe Conference 2018 – Restoration in the Era of Climate Change
The LIFE project Lagoon Refresh was presented at the SER Europe Conference 2018, held in Reykjavik (Iceland) from 9 to 13 September 2018. The oral presentation, performed by ISPRA, was “LIFE LAGOON REFRESH – Ecological restoration in Venice Lagon (Italy): concrete actions supported by numerical modelling” and it was exhibited during session 6 - Restoration Strategies.

Public presentation at Quarto d'Altino Municipality
On Wednesday 19th September, the Life LAGOON REFRESH project was presented at Quarto d'Altino Municipality as expected by Environmental Impact Assessment procedure.

Life Lagoon Refresh for the World Ocean Day
On the occasion of the World Oceans Day 2018 the Institute of Marine Sciences of the National Research Council, in cooperation with the Natural History Museum of Venice and the Life projects Lagoon Refresh, SeResto and Vimine, organized in the Arsenal of Venice a day of divulgation entitled "WOD: Nature, Science and History together in the lagoon".
The aim of the day was to make aware and inform citizens through the proposed activities on the contributions that Scientific Research can provide to the management and sustainable development of the Venice Lagoon.
We thank all the people who took part in our information stands!
Partecipation at the 28° European Congress of SETAC
From 13 to 17 May 2018, the 28th meeting of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) was held in Rome at the Rome Convention Center La Nuvola.
The meeting was attended by scientists and institutions involved in the study of environmental issues related to stress factors, chemicals and technologies substances on the environment through the use of multidisciplinary approaches.
During the meeting ISPRA partecipated with a poster related to the project entitled "LIFE LAGOON REFRESH - Coastal lagoon habitat (1150 *) and species recovery by the salt gradient increasing fresh water input. Management measures in the northern Venice Lagoon (NE, Italy)”. The poster was presented in the section: Salt of the earth - causes, consequences and management of surface freshwaters, groundwaters and soils.

Presentation LIFE LAGOON REFRESH PROJECT at the LIFE REDUNE conference
The LIFE REDUNE project aims to restore and maintain the ecological integrity of 5 dune habitats and of the Stipa veneta* populations in four sites of Natura 2000 along the Adriatic coast, using an ecosystem approach that considers all the involved components (human activities, habitats, species and physical processes).
On 23 February 2018 was held the conference to present the project, that took place at the Danilo Mainardi Auditorium in Ve-Mestre. On that occasion LIFE LAGOON REFRESH was invited to share the objectives and actions foreseen by the project.
